Churchill garage equipment? Anyone know where I can get hold of a wheel balancer manual?

Looking for a manual for a Churchill Mk 4 dynamic wheel balancer, (or someone who can remember exactly how they worked!) I cant for the life of me recall how to mark the tyre so you know where the lightest spot was (this is the 'on car' balancer, not the static type

  1. Hey mate, If you have an on-vehicle balancer you are not required to mark on the lightest spot, instead these work on infra-red. You are required to mark it so the balancer knows when it has done a complete rotation, therefore it does not matter where you mark the tyre as long as it is a straight vertical white line that will pass through the beam of the infra red light once you engage it. Then once it is all spun apply the wheel weight on the 12 o'clock position when the lights match up. Don't forget to be sitting on the balancer when you do this as it will not spin the wheel otherwise, and also be sure to enter the correct wheel dimensions prior to spinning. I'm afraid that is all i can help you with as i have not dealt with the particular balancer you require information on. hope it helps
